Abstract:
The aim of this study is to investigate the suitability level of secondary school Turkish lesson exam
questions to Turkish Language Course Curriculum (MEB, 2018). For this purpose, exam types
preferred in Turkish lessons were examined. And the learning areas which questions are related
with and questions’ fulfilling the objectives of the lesson have been tried to be determined.
Samples of exam papers were used in Turkish lessons were gathered from 20 different secondary
schools in Bucak district of Burdur province after getting compulsory permissions. Total number of
reached exam papers was 285 and 4853 questions have been examined, In thisstudy, survey model
was used. Data of the study was gathered by using document study. Content analysis was used to
analyse data. According to the findings, it has been understood that multiple choices test is the
most preferred exam type used in Turkish lessons. The second one is multiple type exam and the
third one is open ended exam. Besides, it has been found out that %8 of all exams do not fulfill any
objectives of the lesson and distribution of the questions which measure skills that take place in
curriculum is not same.
