This study aimed to investigate the predictive role of temperament traits and self-regulation skills of preschool children on their play behaviors. The research which was designed in accordance with the correlational survey method was conducted with 212 children who attended the preschool education institutions in the province of Denizli in the academic year of 2017-2018 and their mothers. Data of the study were collected with the Short Temperament Scale for Children-Parent Form (Yagmurlu and Sanson, 2009), Self-regulation Scale Parent Form (Ivrendi and Erol, 2018) and Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale-Parent Form(Ahmetoglu, Acar and Aral, 2016). The results of the research show that there are significant relationship between children's temperament traits, self-regulation skills and play behaviors. According to the results of standard multiple regression analysis, the reactivity subscale of the temperament is the strongest predictor of play disruption.
