Bu çalışma klinik pilates metodu uygulanan 5-6 yaş grubu çocuklarda, pilatesin postür ve fiziksel uygunluk parametrelerine etkisini araştırmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmaya okul öncesi hazırlık sınıfına giden 66 katılımcı (Erkek=45, kız=21) dahil edilmiştir. Katılımcılar, pilates (n=31) ve kontrol (n=35) gruplarına ayrılmıştır. Başlangıçta ve eğitimin sonunda her iki gruptaki katılımcıların demografik bilgileri, boy uzunlukları, vücut ağırlıkları kaydedilmiştir. Katılımcıların fiziksel uygunlukları Eurofit Test Bataryası ile, postürleri ise New York Postür analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Pilates grubundaki katılımcılara haftada iki kez 30 dk’dan oluşan 10 haftalık pilates eğitimi uygulanmıştır. Kontrol grubundaki katılımcılar ise pilates uygulaması yapmamıştır. Çalışmamızın sonucunda piltes grubundaki katılımcılarda New York Postür analizi, durarak uzun atlama, otur – eriş esneklik, 30 sn mekik, bükülü kol ile asılma, 20 m mekik koşu süresi ve sayısı test skor fark değerleri kontrol grubundaki katılımcılara göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı derecede yüksek görülmektedir (p<0,05). Diğer fark değerleri açısından iki grup arasında anlamlı farklılık görülmemektedir (p>0,05). Çalışmamızın sonuçları pilates egzersizlerinin okul öncesi dönemdeki çocuklarda fiziksel uygunluk parametreleri ve postür üzerine pozitif etkiler açığa çıkardığını göstermiştir. Pilatesin okul öncesi dönemde yapılabilecek fiziksel aktivitelere dahil edilebileceği önerilmektedir.
This study was carried out to investigate the effects of pilates on posture and physical fitness parameters in 5-6 years old children who were applied clinical pilates method. 66 participants (Boys = 45, girls = 21) attending the pre-school preparatory class were included in the study. The participants were divided into pilates (n = 31) and control (n = 35) groups. The demographic information of the participants in both groups at the beginning and at the end of the training, their height, their body weight were recorded. The physical fitness of the participants was evaluated with the Eurofit Test Battery, and their postures were evaluated with the New York Posture analysis. Participants in the Pilates group received 10 weeks of pilates training, consisting of 30 minutes twice a week. The participants in the control group did not practice pilates. As a result of our study, New York Posture analysis, long jump, sit-and-reach flexibility, 30 sec shuttle, hanging with a twisted arm, 20 m shuttle run time and number test score difference values were statistically significantly higher in participants in the piltes group compared to the participants in the control group ( p <0.05). There is no significant difference between the two groups in terms of other difference values (p> 0.05). The results of our study showed that pilates exercises have positive effects on physical fitness parameters and posture in preschool children. It is suggested that pilates can be included in physical activities that can be done in preschool period.
